81x - 122 = 22

We're simply just trying to isolate "x." This basically just means that we want to get "x" onto its own side of the equal sign :)

So, in order to do that, we need to get everything that does not have "x" in it onto the right side.

So, our first step is to add 122 to both sides.

81x - 122 + 122 = 22 + 122

Simplify.

81x = 144

Now, divide both sides by 81.

81x ÷ 81 = 144 ÷ 81

Simplify.

x = 144/81

Simplify this by dividing 144 and 81 by 9.

144 ÷ 9 = 16
81 ÷ 9 = 9

So, x = 16/9

~Hope I helped!~
