Hereditary and family medical history can play a big role in someone's health. For example my family is known to have cancer, run through the family my grandpa died from cancer and my aunt's and grandma have had cancer in the past. Therefore I am at a higher risk of getting cancer due to my family's hereditary history. This could also be if for example your family has a history of type 2 diabetes you will have a higher chance of getting it. This is also why doctors will ask you if any diseases or anything runs in your family because it is important to know to be able to watch out for it.
hope this helps!

To answer quickly, heredity and family medical history can serve to show issues which may arise in your own health. Doctors can look back at your relatives and see things that may be prevalent. Cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, vision problems, may all be things which can be hereditary to your family. In a nutshell, that's about the best I can answer for you. Hope it helps.
