How can you compare a linear function represented in a table to one represented as a graph?

The slopes must be the same. From a table you can calculate the slope of a line segment connecting any two of the given points. Note that this slope must be consistent throughout.

From a graph, you can find the exact slope of the line, or estimate it closely.

If the slopes are the same in both graphs, the two lines are parallel to one another.
