I just learned this so let me see if I haven't forgotten how to do this....
I say first solve the standard form equation to an slope-intercept form equation:
y=6-2x **(I think you can simplify this to y=-2x+6)
Extract the slope and then you only have to write the equation in point-slope form "y-y1=m(x-x1)" where x1 and y1 is your point (x,y) which in this case is (8,1) and m is your slope.
If my simplification is correct (the one with the **)
Then your final answer would be:
y-1=-2(x-8)
