Apply the slope formula

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

where:

m = slope = 1/2

(x1,y1) = (-15,4)

(x2,y2)= (r,10)

replacing:

(1)/(2)=(10-4)/(r-(-15))

Solve for r

Cross multiply:

1 (r+15) = 6 (2)

r+ 15 = 12

r= 12-15

r= -3
