People use the problem-focused style to try and attack a stressor. Using this style a person goes after and tries to remove the source of stress in their life This is usually done by directly confronting the stress and trying to think of a smart way to eliminate it or reduce it. This method is useful if one believes he or she can simply remove the stress in their life, but not so good if they can't.
