Ray is going to be 86 and Carol is 43.
23+20=43 x 2=86
86/2=43

r = c+23
r+20 = 2(c+20)
(c+23)+20 = 2(c+20)
c+43 = 2c+40
c = 3 :
r = c+23 = 26
Carol is 3 years of age, and Ray is 26 years of age.
