The slope of a line segment is −3/4 and the rise is known to be 21, find the run.

The big thing to remember here is

Slope=Rise/Run

We can put x for the run and get this equation

21/x=-3/4

From here it gets really easy. To find the value of x we can change -3/4 into 21/-28 because in this case we need a common numerator. 21/x=21/-28 and it is obvious that x=-28
