What are some of the lingering features of the british colonial era in south asia? to what extent is globalization reinforcing or erasing these features?

Many large industries cities came about in South Asia due to the colonialism of the British. The industries was being built in order to increase the efficiency of the Resources distribution from the colony to the empire.
Globalization is actually reinforcing this feature, but at the same time it decrease the colony's reliance toward the Empire.
