Being sundry is a mark of self-centeredness, although thrift can be a valuable trait. The word sundry means thing or items that are of little value and little worth. It is true that the presence of sundry items can be a mark of selfishness in the sense that a person doesn't spend too much on their items. However, it can also be valuable in that they are saving money for better items or to help others.
