x^2 + 5x - 24 = 0
(x + 8)(x - 3) = 0
x + 8 = 0; x = -8
x - 3 = 0; x = 3

answer
x = -8, x = 3

x 8
x -3

(x+8)(x-3) = 0


x = -8, 3
