What would you call a prokaryotic archaea that occupies a habitat consisting of a low ph? (you may have to think back to your acids and bases.)?

Acidophile. These organisms have evolved to handle extreme environments that others cannot. An Acidophile has the ability to survive a low pH, such as sulfuric pools and geysers. They get their name by combining the word acid and phile, which means to love.
