Even when no lines are painted on the road, a crosswalk exists when two roads meet at roughly 90° angles and sidewalks would extend across the road True or false ?

True. Crosswalks do not have to be explicitly marked as such. Even if there are no lines painted on the road or signs indicating a crosswalk, drivers are expected to behave as if there are and follow the usual procedures for a crosswalk.
