Determine the solution to f(x) = g(x) using the following system of equations:

f(x) = 3x + 12
g(x) = −9.5x − 13

x = −2
x = −3
x = 4
x = 5

f(x)=g(x)
3x+12=-9.5x-13 add 13 to both sides
3x+25=-9.5x subtract 3x from both sides
25=-12.5x divide by -12.5
x=-2
PROOF
3(-2)+12=-9.5(-2)-13
-6+12=19-13
6=6

hi friend
here's your answer looking for

if , f(x) = g(x)
then,

f ( - 2) = g( - 2) \\ 3( - 2) + 12 = - 9.5( - 2) - 13 \\ - 6 + 12 = + 19 - 13 \\ 6 = 6
-2 is solution of this
now,

f( - 3) = g( - 3) \\ 3( - 3) + 12 = - 9.5( - 3) - 13 \\ - 9 + 12 = 28.5 - 13 \\ 3 \: not \: equal \: to \: \: 15.5
it is not the solution

now,

f(4) = g(4) \\ 3(4) + 12 = - 9.5(4) - 13 \\ 24 \: is \: not \: equal \: to \: - 51
it is also not the solution

now,

f(5) = g(5) \\ 3(5) + 12 = - 9.5(5) - 13 \\ 27is \: also \: not \: equal \: to \: - 60.5
so, x= -2 is only solution

hope you are satisfied with my answer
