The production data of the Sallies bakery for each confectionary produced is given as follows:

\begin{gathered} Cookies\text{ = 10 batches of C cookies} \\ \text{Muffins = 5 batches of M muffins} \\ \text{Cakes = 7 cakes with S slices per cake} \end{gathered}

The receipts from the store were collected and tabulated below for each confectionary sold:

\begin{gathered} \text{Cookies = 8 batches of Cookies} \\ \text{Muffins = 3 batches of Muffins} \\ \text{Full cakes = 2 full cakes} \end{gathered}

Now we will deduct the amount of each confectionary sold by Sallies bakery from the one produced. We will subtract each entry in the second table ( sold items ) from each entry in the first table ( produced items ).

Analysis:-

\begin{gathered} \text{Cookies = (10 batches - 8 batches ) of C cookies } \\ \text{Muffins = ( 5 batches - 3 bacthes ) of M muffins} \\ \text{Cakes = ( 7 cakes - 2 cakes ) with S slice per cake} \end{gathered}

We will perform the subtraction operation and write down the number of each pasteries lefta the bakery as follows:

Result:-

\begin{gathered} \text{\textcolor{#FF7968}{Cookies left = 2 batches of C cookies}} \\ \text{\textcolor{#FF7968}{Muffins left = 2 batches of M muffins}} \\ \text{\textcolor{#FF7968}{Cakes left = 5 cakes of S slice per cake}} \end{gathered}
