We must solve the following inequality:


-2x-8>3x+12

In order to do that we simply pass the x to one side and the numbers to the other side:


\begin{gathered} -2x-8>3x+12 \\ -2x-8-12>3x \\ -8-12>3x+2x \\ -20>5x \\ -4>x \end{gathered}

So the correct answer is letter D.
