Karl Marx and Jean Jacques Rousseau felt that the primary source of social ills in society was due to the emergence of private property. Karl Marx advocated the abolition of private property and establishment of common social property. Jean Jacques Rousseau also advocated the abolition of private property, and he was claiming that all people are equal in society and that is necessary too set up a concept of a "social contract" which defines the relationship between individual and authorities.
