In order to maintain harmony in a group with multiple generations, it would be best to avoid verbal oppositions.

Deferring to the oldest member would create discontent among the younger members, while discussing politics will definitely create a negative climate within a group when the members inevitably disagree with one another. Focusing on individuals and goals are not good because each member will have different goals and might oppose one another, while sticking to basic technology cannot be said to be the best option if using an advanced one would instead make the task be finished faster.
