The rate of elongation of a DNA stand in prokaryotes is much faster that the rate in eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are simpler than eukaryotes-they do not have clearly defined region which contains genetic material (DNA). Eukaryotes have clearly defined region and they are morphological more complicate than prokaryotes.
