Hi there! To solve this question, let's subtract 1/3x from both sides. When we get that, we get 1/3x + 1/3 = 2/3. Now, subtract 1/3 from from both sides again in order to get 1/3x = 1/3. Multiply each side by 3/1 to isolate the variable and you get 3/3 or just simply 1. x = 1.

Note: You subtract or add the number on the right with the variable first, then subtract or add the whole number without a variable on the left from both sides, then because this is fractions, multiply by the reciprocal (flip the fraction) to isolate the variable and get the fraction. Although, if it were decimals or integers, we would just simply divide.

2/3x-1/3x=2/3-1/3
1/3x=1/3
x=1
Hope this helps!
