To find a unit rate you must divide the amount that the rate represents and divide it.
Ex. Rate- 4 Amount- 2
2 divided by 4
Unit Rate equals 0.5

Ex. If a girl is driving for 4 hours and and she gets 200 miles, how many mph is she driving for?
If we know the mph is the same as a unit rate, we divided 200 by 4 and get 50. Her mph is 50.
