Jorge earns a 9% commission on all of his sales. He had sales of 89,400 for the month. Harris works for a different company, and also sold $89,400 for the month but made $447 more than Jore. What is Harris' commission?

Jorge earns 9% from all his sales, so his commission is:

89400×0.09 = $8046

Harris made $447 more than that, so his commission is:

8046 + 447 = $8493

To calculate his commission rate, we can use the following equation:

89400 x rate percentage = 8493
rate percentage = 8493 ÷ 89400
rate percentage = 0.095
rate percentage = 9.5%

So Harris' commission is $8,493 with a rate of 9.5%.
