The kinetic energy is related to the temperature of the system using this formula:
E = (3/2)kT
where
k is the Boltzmann's constant (1.38×10⁻²³ J/K)
The temperature in K is:
T = 5500 +273 = 5773 K
E = (3/2)(1.38×10⁻²³ J/K)(5773 K)
E = 1.195×10⁻¹⁹ J
