BE^2 = 8.7^2 -6.9^2
BE^2 = 75.69 -47.61
BE^2 = 28.08
BE = 5.2990565198
BE = 5.3

y^2 = 11.4^2 + 5.3^2
y^2 =
129.96 + 28.08
y^2 =
158.04
y = 12.5713961039

That ISN'T one of those answers either.
The problem states:
In ΔABC, BD bisects ∠ABC.
If BD bisects the triangle, how come the left side of line AC equals 6.9 and the right side equals 11.4.
Shouldn't the left side equal the right side? (ESPECIALLY since it is bisected?)
