Hi. To the find the unit price per pound we just need to divide 3.5 into 3.08, which gives us $0.88 per pound. You can check your answer by multiplying the 3.5 lbs of banana by the $0.88 per pound.

Divide: 3.08 ÷ 3.5 = 0.88

Multiply: $0.88 x 3.5 = $3.08

I hope this helps.

Take care,
Diana
