Your diagnosis is R/O MI, what does this mean?

Answer:

MI - is the technical term for a heart attack. The word myocardial refers to the heart muscle or 'myocardium'. Infarction refers to a blockage in blood supply. R/O means to rule out so they have ruled out and diagnosed the patient with R/O MI.
