Hypospadias is a birth defect where the opening of the urethra, instead of at the tip, is on the underside of the penis. The urethra is where urine drains from your bladder and then exits your body. The repair for hypospadias is most often done when boys are between 6 months to 2 years old. Boys born with this are not told to be circumcised at birth.
