2 pints of paint

1) Gathering the data

Bedroom rectangular prism

Everything but the floor

Room: 8 ft x 6 ft x 9ft

1 pint = 150 ft²

2) Let's visualize it:

As it is a rectangular prism, so let's calculate the areas of

1 rectangle 6x 8 Using the area: S = 48 ft² (S=b*h)

2 rectangles: 6x 9 S = 54 ft² x 2 = 108 ft²

2 rectangles: 8 x 9 S = 72 ft² x 2 = 144 ft²

Adding those walls' areas up we have:

48 +108 +144 = 300ft²

2.2) One relationship has been given:

1 pint ----------------- 150 ft² Multiplying both by 2 we have

2 pints --------------- 300 ft²

3) Hence, 2 pints of paint will be needed to paint that bedroom.
