y = -1/2x + 6.....the slope is -1/2 and the y int = 6 or (0,6)

y - y1 = m(x - x1)
slope(m) = -1/2
(0,6)....x1 = 0 and y1 = 6
now we sub
y - 6 = -1/2(x - 0) <==

** You basically just label ur variables and sub them into the point slope form
