So what you can do first is reorder the terms, to:
3f + 2f + 4s
So that like terms are next to each other.
Now, you can just add 3f with 2f, like a normal addition problem, to get:
5f + 4s
That would be an equivalent expression.

3f + 2f = 5f
5f + 4s is your answer
