A State Park charges $5 per car plus $1 per person as an admission fee. The total charged for a car with x people is f(x) = x + 5. How will the graph of this function change if the per car charge is changed to $8 per car? (1 point)

The line will shift vertically down by $3.

f(x) = x + 5......charging $ 5 per car...

if it is changed to $ 8 per car, this means that ur y int (5) is being changed to 8....so the line will shift vertically up by 3 <==

Answer:

The line will shift vertically up by $3.

Explanation:

While you have a straight line since both equations are linear, you just need to calculate how it´d change, so the first place of the graph would be in the State park charging $5 per car would be (0,5) and in the state park charging $8 per car would be (0,8), so the difference is 3 units up in the graph, so the correct answer is The line will shift vertically up by $3.
