you can't solve for an exact answer for both x and y since there would be two solutions, think of this as a linear equation
30x+18y=486-30x
-30x
18y=486-30x
/18. /18
y=27-5x/3
30x+18y=486
-18y. -18y
30x=486-18y/30
/30.
x=81/5-3y/5
