First, you would need to determine how many customers ordered dessert.
70 - 21 = 49

Next, you would need to create an equation for this problem. Let x represent the unknown percentage.

(49)/(70) =
(x)/(100)

Cross multiply.
70x = 4,900

Now, all you would need to do is isolate the x. To do this, you would divide both sides by 70.
x = 70
x = 70%

So, 70% of the customers ordered dessert.

I hope this helps!

Hello!

To find your answer you must subtract first:

70 - 21 = 49

Now, how much percent is 49 of 70?

49/70 = 0.7000

0.7000 * 100 = 70.00%

49 is 70% of 70.

I really hope this helped you! :)

To check your answer: (70 × 70.00)/100 = 49
