Please help! Need to pass a module test!

What is the equation of the line, in slope-intercept form, that contains the points (−1, 8) and (2, −1)?

y = −3x + 5
y = −x + 5
y = x + 5
y = −x + 3

First, you need to find the slope (m) =3 and your slope intercept form being y=mx+b; look for the one that says y=3x+__. don't use this every time because there could be T that say it.

-1 - 8 / 2 + 1 = -9 / 3 = -3

-1 = -3(2) + b
-1 = -6 + b
Add 6 to both sides.
5 = b

y = -3x + 5
