5-7 = -2 and 1-6= -5 so the slope would be 2/5. you would set it up like this:

y=2/5x and then your y-intercept

Well Slope is change in y over change in x. So y2-y1/x2-x1. 5-7=-2, 1-6=-5 so -2/-5 or 2/5 as negatives cancel each other out. A common way it is also represented is delta y/ delta x. Delta meaning change in. The answer is 2/5
