Taylor made 5 1⁄4 cups of iced tea. How many 10 ounce glasses can he fill to the brim with iced tea?

But to put it simply, this question is asking how many times can 10 oz be taken out of 5 1/4 cups. This is also shown as:
5 1/4 cups ÷ 10 ounces

First, make both numbers the same units. Since ounces are smaller, convert 5 1/4 cups into ounces.
5 1/4 cups
5 cups = 40 ounces
1/4 cup = 2 ounces
40 + 2 = 42 ounces.
so now do this:
42 ÷ 10 = 4.2
So Taylor can fill 4 full glasses with iced tea.
