A function will not have any repeating x values...it can have repeating y values, just not the x ones. So all ur x's have to be different.

This relation is NOT a function because u have repeating x values...u have 2 x values that are 0.3

Answer:

No, the given relation is not a function.

Explanation:

Consider the given relation

\{(0.3,0.6),(0.4,0.8),(0.3,0.7),(0.5,0.5)\}

We need to check whether the given relation is function or not.

A relation is a function if there exist a unique value of y for each value of x.

In the given relation, for x=0.3 there exist more than one value of y.

y=0.6 at x=0.3

y=0.7 at x=0.3

For one input there exist more than one output. Therefore, the given relation is not a function.
