1) Since the bat and the dugout describes a right triangle since height is always perpendicular. And looking at that we have the hypotenuse and the adjacent leg.

So we can use the cosine, and to find the angle x, we can use the arc cosine of x. Then we can write:


\begin{gathered} \cos (x)=(15)/(32) \\ x=\cos ^(-1)((15)/(32)) \\ x=62.04 \end{gathered}

2) Hence the measure of angle x, rounding off to the nearest whole number is equal to 62º
