In the Grimm’s fairy tale “Rapunzel,” a poor man steals lettuce from a wicked witch to feed his pregnant wife. As a consequence, the witch takes their baby, Rapunzel, after she is born. The witch locks Rapunzel in a tower. As Rapunzel grows, her hair grows too. Her hair grows so long that the witch uses it to climb up to the tower. One day, a prince comes to save Rapunzel. But when the witch finds out that he’d been there, she sends Rapunzel to the desert and blinds the prince. Despite these hardships, Rapunzel and the prince find each other and live happily ever after. What is the theme of “Rapunzel”?

it could be that "love conquers all" or that "good prevails/triumphs over evil". Things like this are somewhat subjective :)
