HELP PLEASE!!! In the musical scene of Singing in the Rain (the part where the guy is singing with the girls) that begins at time code 34:42 and continues to 38:47, what do you think the filmmaker’s purpose is for this scene? Do you think the function is achieved? If you were the filmmaker, would you make any changes to this scene? If so, what would you change? If not, why not?

I think the purpose was to show the importance of being a parent and being able to spend time with your children. I think it was achieved and would not make any changes, because the purpose of the lesson wouldnt be the same and wouldnt show the same effect.

Answer: The filmmaker’s purpose for this scene is to show Kathy is back and she can reunite with Don.

Step-by-step explanation:

The filmmaker’s purpose for this scene is to bring Kathy back so she can

This goal is achieved, but seen from the present it may get a little bit lost in between such a lavish song and extravagant dance routine. This kind of montage of musical numbers was known as a Ziegfeld-Follies-style production, a Broadway revue that had beautiful well-dressed women posing while a tenor sang a song. If I were to make any changes, provably would choose a song that allows more protagonism for Kathy, to make the purpose of the scene a lot more clear.
