So first
expand 3(x+4)+2x: 5x+12
expand 6(x+1)-5: 6x+1
now we have 5x+12<6x+1
now we're going to subtract 12 from both sides 5x+12-12<6x+1-12
then simplify and we have 5x<6x-11
now we subtract 6x from both sides 5x-6x<6x-11-6x
then simplify and we have -x<-11
now multiply both sides by -1 (reverse the inequality) (-x)(-1)>(-11)(-1)
and simplify x>11
So your answer would be: x>11

3(x+4)+2x<6(x+1)-5
3x+12+2x<6x+6-5
5x+12<6x+1
11<x
x>11
