27,?,?,?,53,... has a common difference of (53 - 27) / 4, or 6.5.
27
27 + 6.5 = 33.5
33.5 + 6.5 = 40
40 + 6.5 = 46.5
46.5 + 6.5 = 53
Each new term is equal to the previous term plus 6.5.
