2x+y=4
y = -2x + 4 so slope = -2
perpendicular lines, slope is opposite and reciprocal so slope = 1/2

Answer:

(1)/(2)

Explanation:

Hello, I think I can help you with this

Step one

get the equation in form

y=mx+b, where m is the slope, and b the y-axis intercept

to find the slope

2x+y=4

y=-2x+4

-2x=mx, Hence

m=-2

Step two

two lines are perpendicular if the products of their slopes is equal to -1

m_(1)*m_(2)=-1

we have

m_(1)=-2

-2*m_(2)=-1\\solve\ for\ m_(2)\\m_(2)=(-1)/(-2)\\m_(2)=(1)/(2)

I hope it helps , Have a good day
