the y int of g(x).....where the line crosses the y axis is 3

f(x) = -3(x + 1)
f(x) = -3x - 3....and the y int of f(x) is -3

therefore, the y int of f(x) is less then the y int of g(x)

we know that

The y-intercept is the value of the function when the value of x is equal to zero

In this problem

we have

The y-intercept of the function g(x) is equal to
3 -----> see the graph

Find the y-intercept of the function f(x)

f(x)=-3(x+1)

For
x=0

f(0)=-3(0+1)=-3

The y-intercept of the function f(x) is equal to
-3

so

-3 < 3

The y-intercept of f(x) is less than the y-intercept of g(x)

therefore

the answer is the option A

less than
