well, this may be a vague explanation, but, dropping out of school makes it look like you hate school so much you drop out... and then peoples' opinions come in, and they label the dropouts as "punks" or even, sometimes, "delinquents".

Answer:

Their are multiple reasons why a student in highschool would drop out. People in highschool struggle with the task of maintaining good grades. When people come to this they may feel as if finishing high school is something that adds to the stress, of being almost an adult. Another reason why this is something that peoplee would drop out of high school for is because some people handle the situation differently depending on their mindset. Another reason someone might drop out of high school is because his/her parents don't care enough to make sure that this person has a good well being of have positive encoraginf people around them who give to much freedom to the child to the point that they feel like dropping out of highschool is an option their parents give to them. And lastly, when you get into a situation you cannot get out of, for example, when you get pregnant or get someone pregnant... you might not wanna face either the embarassment or you just need to have four jobs and have no time for education because you need to take care of a child...

This is why 'protection' is invented... maybe you shuold use it... Thats why they are considered delinquents.

(sorry. this probs isn't the answer you were looking for but the one that I was answering got deleted right when I finished it so... *sad face* might as well teach someone else)
