X $ ........ 1 jar

X = (3x 1) / 5 = 0.60 = 6/10
0.6 each jar wich represented 6/10 from 3 $. 6/10 can be simplified by 2. The final is 3/5

If you have 5 jars of peaches, for $3 for the bundle.

You would divide 5 by 3 to give a $1.67 per jar.

Oh crikey! I messed up! It would be 3 divided by 5 to give 60 cents per jar.
