if 1/2 ÷ 5/6 gives us 3/5, notice, the divisor is 5/6, the dividend is 1/2.

recall that if you divide something, the quotient * the divisor is the dividend.

so if 1/2 ÷ 5/6 = 3/5, then 5/6 * 3/5 = 1/2, let's check
\bf \cfrac{5}{6}\cdot \cfrac{3}{5}\implies \cfrac{15}{30}\implies \cfrac{1}{2}
