What they are asking you to do is to simplify the expression.

(5x^2+3z+2)^2 you cannot simplify the terms in the parentheses

5^4(x^4)+3^2(z^2)+2^2 distribute ^2 to each term AND coefficient

625x^4+9z^2+4 this expression is equivalent
