food chains follow just one path of energy as animals find food.

food webs show how plants and animals are involved in ways to help them all survive.

Answer & Explanation: Food chains show the feeding relationships between species in a biotic (living) community. Food webs are diagrams showing the organisms that eat other organisms in a particular ecosystem with predators being higher in the web than their prey. While a food chain only follows just one path as animals find food, a food web is a collection of many food chains, showing the many different paths plants and animals are interconnected.
