get into y=mx+b form
m=slope
b=y intercept
solve for y

12x+2y=-60
minus 12x both sides
2y=-12x-60
divide both sides by 2
y=-6x-30
slope is -6 and y intercept is -30

slope = m

y intercept = b

equation: y = mx + b

Set the equation as such: 2y = -12x - 60

Isolate the y. Divide 2 from all terms

(2y)/2 = (-12x - 60)/2

y = -6x - 30

slope = -6

y-intercept = -30

hope this helps
